Hand Lettering

Fun with Floto: Banners and Doodles

Hello my lovely friends!

Happy Friday! Today, I’m expanding on my recent blog (5 Bonuses to Enhance Your Lettering) and the March lettering challenge I am hosting with the wonderful Hannah (@daintydaisydesigns_) #Letter5Ways. The first 5 days of our challenge is Banners! Incorporating banners in your lettering can bring a lot of balance, composition, texture and more!

I recently did a fun iPad screen capture video to show some of the cool ways banners can be incorporated and different styles of banners. Check out this link to go watch!

Some of my favorite pens and tools for doodles and banners: Sakura Micron Pens  (.01 and .03 are my favorite!), Rhodia Dot Pad, iPad Pro + Apple Pencil (as seen below!).

Here are a few ways to do banners and examples from Instagram! Stay tuned because I am planning on creating some “how-to” practice sheets and a SkillShare class coming up soon! I also have a full Pinterest board on Free Doodling Resources! Go check it out and follow!

***Note that no items or individuals were paid or have paid me to promote them or their products. These are all products that I have very much enjoyed using and people I have very much grown to adore in the lettering and bullet journal community. Always remember #communityovercompetition!**
